colder weather Wednesday evening and overnight will be accompanied by areas of light rain

FIRST THIS IS FIRST ALERT WEATHER WE ARE FEELING A LITTLE BIT MORE LIKE FALL TODAY BUT STARTING TOMORROW IT’S REALLY GOING TO START TO GET THERE. SO THOSE BALL DECORATIONS ARE COMING OUT. THOSE CHANGES ARE COMING THROUGH RIGHT NOW. GET YOUR FALL COATS IN THE UMBRELLA IS READY. YOU’LL NEED THEM THIS EVENING IF YOU ARE GOING OUT BECAUSE WE HAVE THE RAIN ON FIRST ALERT LIVE RADAR. THE HEAVIEST OF THE RAIN IS STILL NORTH OF KANSAS CITY. UP ALONG AND NORTH OF 36 HIGHWAY. AND THE RAIN IS MOVING STRAIGHT FROM THE WEST TO THE EAST, BUT THE COLD FRONT IS MOVING FROM THE NORTH TO THE SOUTH. SO EVENTUALLY THOSE SHOWERS ARE GOING TO START PUSHING MORE SOUTH AND JUST SCOOT IN FROM WEST TO EAST. AND THERE IS LIGHTNING WITHIN THIS RANGE. SO THERE ARE SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS. SEE THOSE LIGHTNING STRIKES NEAR SAVANNAH, ALSO OUT NEAR CAMERON MOVING EAST TOWARD CHILLICOTHE, ANOTHER CLUSTER OF DOWNPOURS JUST TO THE WEST OF KANSAS CITY COMING THROUGH LEAVENWORTH. SO THIS MIGHT BE COMING OVER TO THE AIRPORTS IF YOU HAVE A FLIGHT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS, YOU MAY HAVE A DOWNPOUR MOVING OVER. CASEY EYE AND THEN FAIRVIEW FOLLOWING RIGHT ALONG 435 ALSO DOWN NEAR NEW CENTURY AIR CENTER. LOOK AT THE CHANGE IN TEMPERATURE HERE FROM NORTH TO SOUTH. THE DEFINITION OF A COLD FRONT, 68 AND ATCHISON, 66. AND CAMERON, WE’RE 80 DEGREES IN KANSAS CITY, BUT WE PUT ANOTHER HOT DAY IN DOWN SOUTH AND CLINTON AND BUTLER AND LYSINE. WE’RE STILL IN THE LOW NINETIES HERE, BUT YOU WILL FEEL THAT REFRESHING. NORTH BREEZE BY THE END OF THE DAY. HERE’S HOW YOUR EVENING IS SHAPING UP IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS, TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO DROP DOWN INTO THE SEVENTIES THROUGH 8:00 THIS EVENING. THEN WE’RE DOWN TO THE SIXTIES. THERE’S ABOUT A 40 TO 50% CHANCE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS OR A RUMBLE OF THUNDER, WHICH IS A HIGH ENOUGH CHANCE FOR ME AT LEAST, TO MAKE SURE THAT I HAVE MY RAIN GEAR WITH ME IF I’M HEADING OUT THIS EVENING. TEMPERATURES TOMORROW MORNING, WE’LL DROP DOWN INTO THE FIFTIES. THIS IS GOING TO FEEL QUITE REFRESHING WITH A LIGHT NORTH BREEZE, BUT A LITTLE MORE SURPRISING. LOOK AT THE HIGHS FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON. MID-SIXTIES, WE’RE ALMOST 100 DEGREES ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY AND TOMORROW WE’LL HAVE HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID SIXTIES. HERE ARE THE SCATTERED SHOWERS WITH FUTURE SCANS AND FORECASTS OF THE RADAR. OVERNIGHT AT 10:00. AND YOU CAN SEE BY TOMORROW MORNING, A LOT OF THE RAIN IS FALLING JUST TO THE SOUTH OF KANSAS CITY. I WOULD STILL PREPARE FOR AT LEAST SOME SHOWERS FOR TOMORROW MORNING’S DRIVE IN THE BUS STOP. THE RAIN WILL BEGIN TO CLEAR OUT FROM NORTH TO SOUTH BY NOON ON THURSDAY. BUT WILL STAY WITH A MOSTLY CLOUDY SKY FOR THE DURATION OF THE DAY. THE END OF THURSDAYS, WHEN WE GET A LITTLE BIT MORE SUNSHINE. SO WE LOOK AT OUR FIRST 39 DAY FORECAST TOMORROW IS THE ASTRONOMICAL START OF FALL OR THE FALL EQUINOX IN THE WEATHER, IN THE CALENDAR ARE GOING TO GO HAND-IN-HAND TOGETHER, 64 DEGREES FOR A HIGH. THE NORMAL HIGH IS 78. FRIDAY IS AN IMPACT DAY. WE ARE EXPECTING THAT AREAS OF LIGHT RAIN OFF AND ON THROUGHOUT THE DAY INTO THE EVENING WHICH COULD HAVE AN IMPACT ON FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. THE WEEKEND IS IN GREAT SHAPE. A LOT OF SUNSHINE HERE ON SATURDAY. A LITTLE ON THE WARMER SIDE, 84 DEGREES AND THEN A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH ON SUNDAY. DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT’S GOING TO HAVE A LOT OF PRECIPITATION WITH IT. 74 DEGREES. IT’LL BE BLUSTERY ON SUNDAY. MONDAY, 73 DEGREES AND SUNSHINE. WE WILL HAVE SOME LOWS IN THE FORTIES NEXT MONDAY AND TUESDAY. GET THOSE COATS READY FOR THE KIDS AT THE BUS STOP. HIGHS IN THE S
