Third person dies in Orange County warehouse fire, sheriff says – Orlando Sentinel

A third person has died in Thursday night’s warehouse fire that ignited fireworks inside the building, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office on Saturday announced the death of 24-year-old Landon Bourland. David Gonzalez, 22, and Lindsey Phillips, 22, also died in the blaze.

More than 80 firefighters and 30 units responded around 7 p.m. to a multiple-occupancy warehouse at 901 Central Florida Parkway with heavy smoke and flames showing.

Fireworks were igniting as the fire raged inside the building. Four people were taken to the hospital, Orange County Fire Rescue said.

In addition to housing fireworks, the building just east of Florida’s Turnpike in south Orange County also apparently held a furniture liquidation store. A French Furniture Orlando sign was on the front of the building.

Orange County Fire Rescue and the State Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire.

No other information was released.
