Team Guns wins 2022 Tyler Wilcox Memorial Guns ‘n Hoses Blood Drive; Patients are the real winners

DECEMBER 2, 2022, UPDATE:

Team Guns has taken back the title of champions of the Tyler Wilcox Memorial Guns and Hoses Blood Drive 218 to 202 over Team Hoses.

Although the goal of 515 units wasn’t achieved, LifeServe Blood Center Territory Representative Abbie Arneson says the donations received were needed.

This was the LifeServe Blood Center’s first year as the entity collecting blood for the Tyler Wilcox Memorial blood drive and Arneson says the company had to break some of its own rules to do it.

LifeServe staff didn’t know what to expect for the first year and Arneson says they were impressed.

This friendly competition between Team Guns and Team Hoses began when Tyler Wilcox told his parents Bob and Jeri “he wanted to pay back all the kindness and generosity shown to him by blood donors.” Tyler passed away in 2005 at the age of 19 after a three year fight with cancer.
